Geoff Donaker


Geoff is Founder and Partner of Burst Capital. Before founding Burst in 2017, originally as an angel fund, Geoff spent the prior 20 years helping build Internet businesses. He was Yelp COO for over 10 years, co-leading its growth from $0 to $700m revenue and 10-5000 employees, with an IPO along the way. Prior to Yelp, Geoff worked on two start-ups (one successful, one not) along with roles at eBay and Excite. He is a Stanford grad and began his career as a consultant with Oliver Wyman. 

Geoff has made dozens of start-up investments over the past 2 years, and particularly likes helping founders think through challenges related to team-building, distribution and revenue growth.

Rob Krolik


Rob Krolik serves as Partner and CFO of Burst Capital. Rob spent the last 25 years helping to build scalable finance functions at internet companies. Rob served as Yelp’s Chief Financial Officer for five years and led them to a successful IPO. Prior to Yelp, Rob worked at a start-up along with CFO roles at Move, eBay,, and DigitalThink. In 2013, Rob was honored to be selected CFO of the Year - Finalist from the SF Business Times. Rob holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and is a certified public accountant (inactive)

Rob currently serves on the board of directors and audit chair of Sun Basket, as well as a Member of the Finance Committee of BBYO, a non-profit. He is also a Finance Fellow at the Aspen Institute and currently teaching a course he created titled, "How to be a Great CFO", which gives practical advice on the disciplines within the CFO role. 


Wendy Lim


Wendy is an Advisor to Burst Capital. Prior to Burst Capital, Wendy spent 15 years helping to scale and grow internet businesses, taking burgeoning functions and growing them to handle enormous scale. During her 10 years at Yelp, she led and transformed a wide variety of functions from operations to marketing to finance. Prior to Yelp, Wendy held marketing roles at eBay, The Clorox Company and American Express and began her career in management consulting at Bain & Company. Wendy has a BS from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School. 

Wendy is a Founding Member of the Steering Committee for the Hansoo Lee Fellowship which awards fellowships to entrepreneurs at the Berkeley-Haas MBA program. Through this work and her avid support of UC Berkeley (Go Bears!), Wendy advises and mentors budding entrepreneurs.

Mike Ghaffary


Mike Ghaffary was most recently a Partner at Social Capital, where he invested in marketplaces, consumer, and software companies. He has 10 years of operating experience as CEO of Eat24, VP Business and Corporate Development at Yelp, BD at TrialPay, and co-founder of Stitcher and BarMax. Before that, he started his investing career at Summit Partners.  

His angel and venture investments include: Strava, Optimizely, Pocket, Metromile, Philz Coffee, Atrium, Indigo Fair, Superhuman, and HubHaus. 

Mike received a JD/MBA from Harvard University and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
